I don’t believe in the saying “don’t be a statistic.” Face it- we are all part of the statistics, that’s just the way it is. Statistics are macro and our lives are micro (refer to your old Economoics and Biology/Life Sciences test books if necessary).
It’s more appropriate to say “don’t end up as a statistic.” Would you want your life to be remembered only as a single plot on the graph? Of course not. If you live with passion, devotion, and if you touch people’s lives you are guaranteed to not end up a statistic, because you’ve changed things that would have been different without you. It’s all in the micro part of life, in the little things that you do to impact people.
Things will happen and you will be a statistic. Just don’t let it define your life.
