Lately I have really been getting into cooking again. Tonight I made some beef hoisin stir-fry with snow peas and carrots. This weekend I made mashed potatoes and pork loins with freshly chopped spinach and romaine salad. Wish I would have  thought to take some pictures…

I used to make all kinds of delicious Indian food, thanks to my friend in high school Jasdeep, whose parents’ house always smelled so good. That takes REAL time though. I did make some flat bread for the Fusework holiday party and got several compliments on it. I think it might have received second place to Mark’s wife’s chuckwagonbeans, had there been an award of some sort!

Give me some ideas of recipies to try, if you’ve got any good ones.

Here’s a random fact that you may not have known about me: I was a Peace Studies minor in college. I entered the program with expectations about what I would learn and the topics I would gain expertise about. Putting my best effort into the classes was one of the most eye-opening experiences of my life.
Looking back, I think I have long had a sense for what peace is, as if I had some kind of intuition that led me to seek answers and the abilities to create it, maintain it, and spread it as a value. Just like every value, it takes strong commitment, will power, and open-mindedness to grow as an individual.
I wanted to share with my friends and acquaintances what my personal definition of peace is and some of what I have learned.

This topic is much too deep to cover in one entry, one evening, or one writing session, so in my next post of this series, I will start at the beginning; where everyone must start. Yourself.

I walked in to my parents house after a stressful, non-stop day to grandma reading the comics to my girls. That’s something I’d never seen before, plus it really turned my day around. :)

Not to mention that the Pediatric Cardiologist said he doesn’t need to see Maggie back for another year! What a blessing.

My newest niece

I got to hang out with Molly while Hillary and Mark finished eating their lunch. Not a bad job at all. Got lots of practice with my reflexes trying to catch the binky that she kept spitting out.Posted by ShoZu
